Update on the worst contractor ever...

I would like to say I am a complete newbie to any type of building. If you see anything I am doing wrong please comment and point it out. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. The contractor placed every single post in the wrong spot. Not by a few inches but by a foot or more. I had to completely rebuild the catwalk. Luckily the contractor ran out of money and walked off the job before doing any more damage. I would like to thank all the content creators who make videos about dock and deck building. I would be lost without their tutorial videos.
Progress has been slow. We had a snow storm then a few tornados then more snow.
