Patriarchy - The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly!

Maybe no term has been more misunderstood, more misused, and more misappropriated than the term, “Patriarchy.” Patriarchy is portrayed as everything from the right and godly view of male / female relationships, to an evil tool used by men to abuse and oppress women, to a total male-dominance view that aims to “put women in their place.” And sadly, there are even some within Reformed circles who take patriarchy to the sinful extremes it was never meant to go.

Join us as we flesh out everything patriarchy. What is it? What is God’s design it? How has society and the church abused it throughout history? How is it being misused (in both directions) in churches today? And, finally, what is the godly way to fight back against those abuses?
