In a speech delivered 100 days into the present conflict, Hamas claimed that the red heifers’ arrival had an impact on their choice to launch the October 7th strikes in Israel, which ignited the conflict. Currently, there are claims circulating that the red heifer sacrifice may begin either just before Passover on April 22, 2024, or 50 days later on Shavuot. Shavuot 2024 is from the evening of June 11th to the evening of June 12th in Israel and from the evening of June 11th to the evening of June 13th in the Jewish diaspora (outside Israel)
