📷 There are planes that can be immediately distinguished from hundreds of other models. The six-seater Yakovlev Yak-58 is one of them, easily recognizable by its twin-spar design, high-mounted stabilizer and also a sleek, fully glazed nacelle and rear-mounted engine with a pusher propeller.

Intended for carrying passengers, business flights and carrying small cargo, a prototype of the Yak-58 first flew on April 17, 1994. In 1997, the six-seat Yak-58 was presented at the MAKS.

At one point the project had problems with financing, which is why the program was stopped.
Work subsequently resumed and the Russian-Kazakh company JSC Yak ALCON was involved; in fact, the designers planned to organize mass production in Kazakhstan.
The new Yak-58 was modified: instead of the domestic M-14P powerplant they planned to install a German engine in it. The latest news on the plane dates back to 2016: the tests were scheduled and should have been completed in 2017...
