China Hosts Hamas-Fatah Talks, Netanyahu Says No Deal On Rafah Invasion Amid Ministers' Warnings
China said rivals Hamas and Fatah held "in-depth and frank dialogue on advancing Palestinian internal reconciliation" in Beijing. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed a ground offensive in Rafah "with or without" a deal being negotiated with Hamas. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said Netanyahu "heard my words" and "promised that Israel would go into Rafah, promised that the war would not end, and promised that there would be no reckless deal." The international community and even Israel's staunchest ally, the United States, have warned against an offensive that could put half of Gaza's 2.3 million people sheltering in Rafah at risk. Meanwhile, Netanyahu said the International Criminal Court (ICC) would be committing an "antisemitic hate crime" if it issues arrest warrants against him and other Israeli officials over alleged war crimes in Gaza.
