SOFT PASTEL Drawing on BLACK PAPER || How to Draw Flowers

How to draw flowers on black paper with soft pastels. Bright soft pastels create a nice contrast against a black paper. I'm using Derwent pastel pencils and Koh-I-Noor soft pastels, black paper, cotton swabs, paper towel and fixative to draw flowers from life.

I'm showing you how I prep for the drawing, how I sketch and how to blend and shade with soft pastels, how to fix mistakes as well as how to seal the drawing from smudging with fixative spray. You'll also see some of my other soft pastel drawings on black paper.
