B538 - Apr 28, 2024 Great Bible Prayers A

The prayers of those who love Yehovah and are obedient to His commandments, are like sweet incense going up to heaven. The Bible is filled with dozens of examples of people calling out to God for help in times of need and desperation, that we can use for inspiration and instruction in our lives.

We know that believers are commanded to take everything to God in prayer and not just give Him the situations we feel are too difficult for us to handle. He wants to hear from His Children during the good times and the bad, and He wants to be involved in our decision-making processes, to help bring the Truth of God into our lives every day.

In this Bible Study we review the prayers of some of the Old Testament figures that learned to trust God and lived by Faith. Abraham, Hagar, Moses, King Hezekiah, Jonah, Daniel and Nehemiah all went through times of trouble and testing, but were able to stay focused on the promised future that Yehovah said would be theirs, if they stayed faithful.

The times in which we live may have changed, but God does not change and the hearts and minds of mankind are still the same as when Adam and Eve were trying to hide from God in the Garden of Eden.

When we see a Bible character cry out to Yehovah for deliverance or mercy, we can be confident that our prayers are still being heard today and that the unchanging God that we serve still desires to hear from His Children and to help them learn to trust in Him.

Trust in Yehovah with all of your heart and do not trust in your own abilities. Cry out to Yeshua and accept His free gift of redemption for your life and be filled with the Holy Spirit of Yehovah. Trust in the Plan that will never fail!
