Luke Skywalker has gone to the left side, as vetaran actor Mark Hamill crashed the White House Press Briefing with Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday. Hamill proceeded to express his undying love and affection for all things Joe Biden in a cringy few minutes that saw Hamill joke about aviator glasses and calling the President "Joe-Bi-Wan Kenobi." Gene Berardelli reviews this bizarre scene and explains how these kinds of "bread and circuses" are meant to distract from raging campus violence, ongoing inflation and a poor jobs report for last month.
