We all have to be very careful with overthinking, while it is a psychological defense mechanism of sorts, it rarely leads in a positive direction. Trying to predict the worst in order to circumvent negative outcomes that might never happen is a slippery mental slope. Facing what we are very much expecting this year as we go into summer and prior to the election, we need to be more mindful of how we are thinking, so we don't get caught in a negative personal mental prison, at the same time the world is seemingly on the brink....
