School District 33 Books Queer Storytime for Kids at Elementary/Middle School

Chilliwack Community Information Sharing: Parents, family members and caregivers within the Chilliwack community held an educational get-together with the message that "Queer Storytime Adventures for Kids" does not belong in public schools.

4 Guest Speakers spoke outside the Chilliwack School, where the 'Queer Storytime" event was originally to be held, at the same date and time, which was Sunday May 5th, 2024.

The guest speakers were:
-Kellie-Lynn Pirie
-Marius Malciu
-Pierre Barns
-Barry Neufeld

Topics Included:

-School Boards
-What’s Going On In The Education System
-The Cass Review (Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People)
-Pornographic Books In Schools
-No-To-SOGI – Protecting Children

The result of the announcement of this get-together, was that the organizers of the "Queer Storytime Adventures for Kids" who rented the School library, decided to move the event, and hold it in a local privately owned bookstore. The bookstore is called "The Owl and the Cat Bookery.

In this instance, the message was heard, that the People of Chilliwack do not want "Queer Education" in our schools.
