(Short cuts) The Big Tent Fallacy

The Big Tent Theory is easy to explain. It is the theory that if decent people (rationals) invite evil people (irrationals) into their tent they can create a civil society which benefits all. Both Reagan and Lincoln held this theory as gospel. It was their ambition which drove them to this theory.
They were wrong. The political left and right cannot co-exist within the same society. The right desires life, and the left desires death. And you cannot make a marriage work when one of the parties wants to murder the other party.
