Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath were an English heavy metal rock band, formed in Birmingham in 1968, consisting of "Tony" Iommi, ‘Geezer’ Butler, "Ozzy" Osbourne and Bill Ward. The band had multiple line-up changes following Osbourne's departure in 1979, but this video is about the original lineup. Black Sabbath have sold over 70 million records worldwide. Commentators have said: "They were ... a ground breaking band...you can put on the first Black Sabbath album and it still sounds as fresh today as it did 30-odd years ago" and "The heaviest, scariest, coolest riffs and the apocalyptic Ozzy wail are without peer. You can hear the despair and anguish in every kick-ass, evil groove". But they courted the Dark side and paid a terrible price. The Ozzy wail was a cry for help. As "Ozzy" said "the truth was I was afraid of me... Afraid of what I’d do to myself or, even worse, to someone else.” Call the devil and he shall appear.
