Inspiration

Inspiration describes a person’s receipt of ideas that do not come from Memory, nor do they come from other people. David Lynch calls them ‘Fish’, ideas that are swimming in the great ocean of spirit, he has been able to ‘catch’. Sometimes they solve a problem. Sometimes, they provide a person with the input they need to do something - a book, or painting, an invention, a film or poem. And although the end result is the person's, the impetus came from ‘elsewhere’ – ‘out of the blue’.
