Tom's combat career has been marked by his progression through highly respected and demanding assignments. Starting as an infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division, he advanced to Special Forces, becoming an 18C with the 7th Special Forces Group.

His expertise and resilience were further honed in Delta Force, where he served as an operator, assault rifleman, and sniper. During his 12 combat tours - 11 in Iraq and one in Afghanistan - Tom faced the realities of war head-on, participating in hundreds of direct action raids and enduring a cumulative 40 months in combat situations.
