The word “ diet” has a bad reputation because it can often trigger many people, implying an unpleasant restriction of what they eat. Additionally, many people have failed diets because they are thought to be temporary. Once they lose weight, they revert to their old habits and regain the weight, putting them back where they started.
What was the point of dieting in the first place?
I use the word “nutrition” more frequently. Nutrition and health should be a lifestyle, a permanent change expected to produce lifelong results. It takes everyday education, experimentation, and consistency. It would make the process enjoyable and not seem like a chore because otherwise, it is easier to fall off the wagon.
If you want long-term results, the process needs to be long-term. Your health should be treated like a marathon, not a sprint.
