Trump invoked the Insurrection Act?

On January 6, 2021, "former" President Donald Trump used the events that transpired during the Capitol riot to secretly invoke the Insurrection Act. The Act, which grants the President the authority to deploy military forces within the United States to suppress civil disorder, insurrection, or rebellion, was a strategic move by Trump to militarize the National Guard and transfer executive power to the Military for the coming years. By inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol, and baiting his opposition to create chaos in disguise as controlled opposition, Trump aimed to create a state of chaos and disorder that would justify the invocation of the Insurrection Act.
