World Health Organization No Longer Fit For Purpose: Dr David Bell

Dr David Bell was a physician and scientist at the World Health Organization from 2002 to 2011. He describes here, how the organisation has evolved from a publicly funded agency focused on supporting the highest population needs based on the highest disease burden, to a privately funded agency focused on driving profits for their sponsors.

This has subverted their purpose. They have never been an agency of expertise, as they have quotas based on national membership, meaning that most western nations have much more expertise within their borders than could ever exist within the World Health Organization. Yet they are attempting to establish as the global health agency whose expertise must be followed, in order that their recommendations become binding upon nations globally.

This event was coordinated by the Aligned Council of Australia, and took place in Melbourne on 11 May 2024.
