To be eligible, you need to:
1. Be an Indian citizen.
2. Currently be a student in Classes 1 to 12.
3. Have a family annual income of less than INR 5,00,000.
4. Maintain good academic performance for the past two years.
5. Be associated with a Sports Coach or a recognized Sports Body/Federation/Academy.
6. Either be a member of winning or runner-up teams, or achieve first, second, or third positions in individual events at State or National levels.
7. Consistently participate for the last 2 years for your country/state, national, or international levels in the last 2/3 years and should be within 500 ranks in the national ranking/within 100 in the state ranking.
8. Have represented/won sub-junior/junior/senior National championships/games for the last 2 years.
