The Symbolism of the Rabbit

Although rabbits and hares actually belong to the same family - Leporidae - symbolically they are totally different. A Hare is a mystic, a Rabbit is more "lowly" (an initiate or a psychopomp). In this video we investigate why Rabbits are a symbol of Easter and why the White Rabbit in particular is a symbol of those who guide Initiates in the Mysteries through the tests they have to pass. And we use Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland to demonstrate the process. We also compare the White Rabbit and the Caterpillar to, again, show their difference symbolically. Finally we take a look at the meaning of the Magician's white rabbit.
