Communicating with Wildlife in Costa Rica

Leaf Bugs, A White Horse, Howler Monkeys and feral dogs all had messages during a transformational Shamanic trip to Costa Rica. This is where Lisa and I first met. Somatic healing is a very experiential life changing experience. When a leaf bug showed up in the circle, Michele’s pen began writing on her pad. A deep, meaningful message unveiled and Michele as the time keeper was distracted by this amazing occurrence. When Nature shows up, a message is waiting to be received. On a long, and arduous hike to be in ceremony with the Terraba tribe (http://terraba.org/en/about.html), we were met by a white horse, who was the gate keeper to the living area of the tribe. Asking permission for entry felt the most honorable and respectful approach as we climbed the steep mountain in preparation for ceremony. The richness of the land, communication with trees, and our stories of how wildlife’s untapped and undomesticated ways bring another level of wisdom for us to learn from.
