Why compulsory (forced) schooling was invented

Compulsory schooling wasn't made to nurture children. It was set up to create employees and consumers. This was taken from the Rockefeller General Education Board mission, written in 1906;

"In our dreams... people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hands. The present education conventions [of intellectual and moral education] fade from our minds, and unhampered by tradition we work our own good will upon grateful and responsive folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or men of science."

The system exists to create good obedient citizens who do what they're told, endlessly consume to keep big corporations thriving and so that you are forever in debt and reliant on a paycheck.

We've had enough of the mental, emotional and physical issues that have escalated to a point no child should endure.

We want kids to have many different experiences so they are the ones to determine what lights them up. We want kids excited about what they're learning because they're curious and interested in what they're doing. They need more than knowing it in theory, they have to live these things and experience them.

Creating a better world for kids will take every human playing a role. Let's build this new world together!
