OOPS! CNN's Bash brought Conway's husband into the discussion

CNN’s Dana Bash asked her directly, “What is up with your husband’s tweets?”

She brought up some tweets in question––tweets that have since been deleted––to get the White House counselor’s response.

Conway got in a dig at Hillary Clinton before saying, “It’s fascinating to me that CNN would go there, but it’s very good for the whole world to have just witnessed that it’s now fair game… how people’s spouses and significant others may differ with them… That should really be fun.”

Bash said she would have asked that question too if she were a man. Conway shot back, “No you wouldn’t.”

She told Bash the question was “meant to harass and embarrass,” emphasizing that spouses have differences of opinion a lot of the time. Conway repeatedly emphasized how interesting it was that CNN would go there, calling this a “crossing the Rubicon moment.”
