When I was 8 years old I get hit in my left eye with a fork.

I thought it'd be funny if I started a food fight.

So I threw a string bean at my cousin - and she threw a fork back at me.

Luckily after an emergency surgery I wasn't fully blinded.

But I spent the next 6 months with an eye patched taped to my face.

Stuck inside, playing video games, and eating junk food.

So up until my teens I was a short, fat, poor kid from the inner city with weird looking eyes.

For years I was angry and hopeless.

I thought I was born a loser and I would probably stay a loser forever.

So there I was.

22, still broke, still feeling like a loser, still feeling like I had no purpose in life.

And that's when I discovered freelancing.

Now the first few years were so hard that I almost quit.
