Please believe me when i say just clean your car, make it look presentable as possible and spend a few dollars to make it nice. Also keeping all of your receipts for everything you do to your car will help. Especially if you put on new hub caps (if needed) new floor mats, new battery etc. New tires that are $50 from Walmart are better than old, worn, cracked and bald tires. ALSO, you're going to get a full tank of gas for free when you buy a car from a dealership, so if you fill your tank up on your trade in, it'll help you out.
