In 2015, Amos Oz, who was one of Israel’s most prominent novelists, journalists, and intellectuals, gave a talk at the annual conference of Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), considered Israel's leading security think tank and one of the top defence and national security think tanks on Earth.

To say his speech is prophetic is an understatement given current events…

Mr. Oz also didn’t come to this realisation shortly before this speech but was calling for a two state solution since the end of the Six Day War in 1967.

Mr. Oz passed away three years later in 2018, aged 79.
