Taiwan’s New President Lai Ching-Te Talks About Relations With China

05/20/2024 Taiwan EBC News: When Taiwan’s New President Lai Ching-te spoke about relations with China in his inaugural speech, he called on CCP to cease their political and military intimidation against Taiwan and face the reality of the Republic of China's existence. He also warned that Taiwanese must not harbor any delusions about CCP. He said that so long as CCP refuses to renounce the use of force against Taiwan, even if we accept the entirety of CCP's position and give up our sovereignty, CCP's ambition to annex Taiwan will not simply disappear.
