Moving Over 30,000 Pounds of Dirt, Roots, Rocks, and Mulch! | 02

This one took a bit of work, my lower back is still sore, but in the end we got it done. In todays video we use the backhoe, picks, shovels, wheelbarrows and everything else to get dirt out of our new orchard patch. Out of 30,000 pounds, me and two helpers moved about 10,000 of it ourselves. Here's the math. Our trucks can usually take 1,500 pounds and just three root balls maxed them out. So if each root ball was about 500 pounds and we had over 40 of them, then there is 20,000 pounds the truck took. As for the 35 wheel barrow loads of dirt and wood chips we moved, those each weighed about 200 pounds a piece. So the math adds up fast and the broken backs do too.
