We sometimes have the idea that something in the future is going to make us feel better, like having more money, more fame or even more "enlightenment".
Chasing money, fame or spirituality is the same; loosing your present.

Watts suggests that our constant effort to connect can actually hinder our ability to truly experience connection. By surrendering to the flow of life and being fully present.

Who is Alan Watts?
Alan Watts (1915-1973) was a prominent British philosopher, writer, and speaker celebrated for his significant contribution to bringing Eastern philosophy and spiritual ideas to the Western world. Originating from England, he cultivated a profound interest in Buddhism and Taoism during his early years. In the early 1930s, Watts moved to the United States, where he played an incredibly important role in shaping the counterculture movement of the 1960s.
