Do We Need Theology? | Inside the Faith Loop

Do we need theology? How many people know what theology is, let alone, know what it means, or if it is important to life? I recently came across a poll taken on the “State of Theology”, taken by Ligonier Ministries. With the cultural crisis facing mankind since the advent of Jesus, Christianity continues to confuse the issues, with theology being one of them. How many people think of theology when they think of Jesus? I would venture to guess, not many. Theology is a construct of mankind for the purpose of setting themselves in a place of authority above others. Defining for the masses what they should believe concerning Jesus, based on their interpretation of the biblical narrative.
