Will They Root? Direct Sowing Blackberry Cuttings

A few months ago, I snipped off some blackberry cuttings from a plant that my grandpa had in his back yard. He grew blackberries for years and years using these vines. I also found the flower bulb planter in his belongings and decided to use it to dig my holes for these transplants. I have never had any luck planting cuttings, but with any luck, this method will work out and the blackberries I've always enjoyed will be enjoyed for years to come.
