Supporting First Responders Through Pickleball Play

First Responder Therapy Dogs founder Heidi Carman and organizers Carrie and Anne Zarraonandia host a pickleball fundraiser with Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever teams. Three 12-minute rounds with therapy dog breaks raise awareness and funds for first responder wellness. Inspired by her guide dog's connection with paramedics during California's 2020 fires, Heidi established First Responder Therapy Dogs, which has grown to 41 states with nearly 300 teams. The fundraiser aims to expand their reach and support first responders nationwide.
