AFU POWs speak about poor quality of defensive positions near Kharkov

20.05.24 - More Ukrainian servicemen voluntarily surrendered in Kharkov region. The POWs said they had to enlist to the AFU because of mobilisation, they lack proper training to fight in the warzone.

The Ukrainian servicemen pointed out, the they had to set up defensive positions at their own expense nevertheless the budget allocations for that purpose.

'Most had to set up positions themselves, dig trenches, dugouts, they buy shovels for their own money or find it somewhere. The positions are bad. I think that the Verkhovna Rada and the president appropriate money. Even small amounts are spent anywhere besides for defences,’ said a POW. Source 🔹 Russian Defence Ministry
