The CCP Will Use External Conflicts to Divert Attention from Its Deteriorating Internal Economy

05/23/2024 Anna on Outside the Beltway: Even as its domestic economy is collapsing, the CCP continues to increase its domestic and global military spending in order to divert attention. Because once everyone focuses on external conflicts, such as containing Taiwan or going to war with the US, no one will care so much about China's internal economic problems. This is another way for the CCP to deal with problems.
