I check out the Trainer House and then I defeat the very last gym leader. Then I go catch a morning/day-exclusive fossil pokemon at Lugia's chamber in the Whirl Islands. Then at the pokemon center, if you have all 16 badges and you try to leave, a blue-haired lady will come downstairs to give you a GS Ball, which you can take to Kurt to have him make a ball you can put in the shrine. And finally, I make my way over to Mt. Silver.

Normally, I would post a link to where I got the game ROM, but I'm going to keep it secret, because I don't want the Nintendo ninjas to kill that website like they did with Emu Paradise. Sorry to say, but you're going to have to find a emulator ROM site on you own.
