After Elizabeth Warren's proposed "Anti Bitcoin" bill was squashed, with Chuck Schumer (surprisingly) being one of the outspoken voices against it, citing a yes vote would give foreign nations the edge on this technology while hurting Americans, Trump (unsurprisingly) came out in support of Bitcoin and self custody during his speech at the Libertarian National Convention.

Bitcoiner's are a growing voting block, that will no doubt become wealthier and more powerful over time. Ignoring them, or going against them will only alienate that block and could cost one party or the other the presidency in a tight race.
