Mrs. Cathy Wright_National Rifle Association

Cathy Wright is a Maryland National Rifle Association -Institute for Legislative Action Frontlines Activist Leader and a member of the NRA Board of Directors. She is also the Maryland State Rifle & Pistol Association Vice President for Legislative Affairs, a member of “Maryland Shall Issue”, and a member of the Berwyn Rod & Gun Club. She received the J.M. Littlefield Award as Volunteer of the Year for the NRA in 2016. Cathy is a former nurse, has served as executive director of state medical specialty societies, and has lobbied on behalf of national and state healthcare initiatives in MA, VA and NC since 1990. In addition, Cathy is the former Chair of the Chatham County, North Carolina Republican Party and served as a Regional Vice President for the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women. She is a member of the Republican Women of Anne Arundel County and is an Associate member of the Republican Women Leaders of Calvert County and the Upper Montgomery Republican Women. Cathy completed the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program, achieving Distinguished Expert in Pistol, and is an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. She has been married to John D. Wright, MD for 51 years, has two children and seven grandchildren. Cathy also enjoys golf and ballroom dancing.
