Biafra Remembrance Day 2024

A three-day commemoration has begun in the South-East and South-South for the millions of people who died in the Biafra war.

In 1967, the declaration of an independent republic of Biafra followed endless pogroms in which Igbos were slaughtered.

Nigeria backed by Britain waged a genocidal war against Biafra. Most of the Biafrans died from starvation due to a deliberate policy by Nigeria supported by Britain.
