Kimber began her law enforcement career as a corrections deputy and quickly moved to patrol, where she was promoted to corporal within a year. Known for her dedication and bravery, Kimber was essentially ambushed by a trans prostitute who Kimber thought was a biological woman until a physical altercation began. When the interaction turned to deadly force, Kimber survived being shot 5 times, including a life-threatening injury to her abdomen. She has since recovered, and has been honored at the National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame, which is where we met her and was absolutely astonished by her amazing fortitude! Her story is a testament to resilience and the unwavering commitment of those who serve to protect their communities.
