Synergy | A Colourful Post Apocalyptic City Builder

Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series.
My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review.
In this episode I check out the new Indie City Building Game called Synergy. This game is developed by Leikir Studio who also worked on Metal Slug Tactics, and was published by
Goblinz Publishing, who produced several games ive previously reviewed including Sigma Theory, Heroes Hour and the excellent 4x Strategy Game Terraformers.
Synergy Takes place on an unknown Alien Planet and follows a group of Explorers attempting to colonise the planet. You will take control of the fledgling colony as they gather
food and water, study the planets plants and animals, and build a city to support your people. As you explore the surface of your new home through expeditions, you can learn about the fate
of your fellow humans, along with finding lost knowledge allowing access to new technological advancements to boost your colonies productivity.

Synergy takes inspiration both from the publishers previous title Terraformers, along with other classic 4x strategy games like the legendary Frostpunk. Resources are very scarce, so players
will need to prioritize building their colony in a sustainable way, learning how to harvest plants and collect materials rather than destroying them, and growing your colony at a controlled pace.
Planning your cities design is critical, as different buildings have different dependencies on others, and you can get various benefits by grouping different building types together.
While Synergys pace is a little more relaxed than other City Building games once you progress past the first part of the campaign, the games relaxing soundtrack, colourful graphics and
building/crafting system ensure players will keep coming back for more. In addition to the games campaign, there is also a freeplay mode allowing players to tailor their experience to their
personal preferences.

I highly recommend this game for both fans of Goblinz Publishings previous game Terraformers, as well as 4x Strategy game enthusiasts.

In Synergy, the well-being of your citizens is paramount. You will need a deep understanding of their environment to help them adapt and thrive.

Conduct analysis of the plants and other natural elements of the region and flesh out your Knowledge Book.
This newly-acquired knowledge will provide you with an essential guide to obtaining resources, ensuring the safety of your citizens and optimizing your city, thus promoting survival and prosperity through a sustainable approach in harmony with the surrounding natural environment.

Assign citizens to the research center and the hall of wisdom to launch research projects. Technological research allows you to uncover new advanced techniques, while cultural research will innovate on processes and civil structures.
This quest for knowledge also gives you access to several new buildings. From extraction structures to social spaces, from harvesting points to cultural buildings, every new construction and discovery helps you shape your city's evolution.

Build nine districts with unique features around the various squares by cleverly placing your buildings. Take advantage of the powerful bonuses specific to each district to foster the development of your city. Meet the needs of your citizens and thrive by providing them with the most satisfying accommodations possible.

Gather your citizens and send them on expeditions to learn more about the world.
Exploration is an important vector of progression in the game. Explore increasingly remote regions to reveal new destinations, meet other survivors and convince them to join your city, find tablets bearing priceless knowledge, and bring back new plant species to introduce into your environment.
