Ukraine expects Russia to stop hostilities during Pope's visit. Why?? (2022-04-08)

Ukraine and Russia are eastern orthodox nations. The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church were never friends. Pope has no value or authority for an eastern orthodox believer. He has no value or authority for an atheist or a satanist either. Why does Pope need protection, is he afraid to meet God?
