Hiking The Three T's: San Gabriel Mountains (Angeles National Forest), CA.

The hike to the Three T's is one of the celebrated achievements in the San Gabriel Mountains. In actuality, the odd fact that all three peaks start with the letter "T" is what built the hike into a destination. By checking off all three peaks in a single hike and returning to the start there is about as much elevation gain needed to tackle many other famous hikes in the US, which makes this a great training hike and confidence booster at the very least. Also, it is a great place to be when the lowlands are sweltering in heat. You get all that elevation and mileage without wilting in the heat due to the high elevation.
