Pop Charger, Does It Work?

The short answer is no.

So I had a issue, and I needed to use my phone, but the battery was low, and I didn't want to take a chance, so I grabbed one of these out of my glove box. When I bought this little disposable charger, I though what a nifty idea. I bought two for the car, one for each of my back packs, and keep a couple extra in my storm kit. So I opened up one of the Type C chargers, followed the instructions, took the case off, put the phone on Airplane mode, pulled the tab on the battery pack, and inserted the charger into the phone. The phone btw is an A51 5g by Samsung, so it is an older phone. After 3 hours of charging, it had less power than when it started. So crap. I tried it on an older phone, and Samsung S8, and barely charged that. However, it does seem to give some charge to power banks that accept a Type C charging port.

I also don't understand the point of saying 3 AAA batteries, if they are not replaceable. They are also a pretty low grade of alkaline batteries, but I suppose it makes the price point work.

Reading the fine print would show the issues, 4.5v, (AAA battery is 1.5v, 3 batteries x 1.5v equals 4.5volts) though rated at 5 volts, and 800mAh.
So where does that put this product? I guess I'm going to have to buy a USB/Type C volt/amp tester and test the phones, which specs are readily available, and as an independent tester of this chargers. I also want to test to see if lithium AAA batteries charge anything. It might just be worth to remove the crap batteries, put in a decent set of quality batteries, toss them in a small zip lock bag for protection to keep in my gear and vehicle.

Definitely disappointed in these.
