Summer motorcycle riding is here

Woke up at 4AM to do the coffee thing and pack gear, afterall the early bird gets the worm or the best parking spot in the riding areas parking lot. Our meeting time was 6AM, on the way out I had in my mind the really dedicated folks get there as the sun is coming up, kind of like bass boat fishing, 5AM start. I was a little surprised to see not a single vehicle in the parking lot when I arrived. Are motorcycle riders fair weather single track riders and all go North once the mornings are 80 and it's in the 90's by the time the ride is over? Today was a shorter ride, we put in 20 miles and were still the only trucks in the lot when we finished. I did discover some of the old motorcycle trails we rode decades ago called the Fenceline Trail, it has been so long that I couldn't remember where it was exactly or how to get to it. Overall, the weather is still pretty nice for summertime. My wife bought me some new Moose Sahara gear she found on supersale, it's always been high on my list of favorite breathable summer gear and the trails today were awesome.
