Understanding Israel & the Middle East Conflict - Beyond Hamas and Its Origins

We should stop fixating on Hamas and its origins. Palestinians are Arabs who have lived under Israeli occupation. They are not from another planet. When a population is cornered and systematically oppressed, they will inevitably organize and resist. This is a basic human response. Arabs living in Israel do not have equal rights because there is an apartheid system that discriminates against non-Jewish residents. You can label these groups as terrorists, but they are essentially revolutionary forces fighting against relentless oppression.

We've seen similar resistance movements in Europe during World War II when Nazi Germany occupied various countries. It is hypocritical for the victims of Nazi Germany to criticize a revolution in the Middle East against Israel. This conflict is not just about Netanyahu versus the Arabs; it's Israel versus the broader Middle East. Netanyahu's actions reflect the will of the majority of the Jewish population. Even if Netanyahu were no longer the Prime Minister, Israel's policies and strategies would likely remain unchanged.
