7 million people have been estimated to be internally displaced in Ukraine due to Russia Ukraine conflict. More than 4.7 million Ukrainians flee Ukraine and become refugees. It seems like the outcome of this decision made by the people in control is worse than if negotiations would have been accepted and conducted with a clearer mind before the conflict. But it's always easier to criticize after the event.
