Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2009)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a 2009 first-person shooter game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. The campaign of the game follows Task Force 141, a multi-national special forces unit led by Captain Soap MacTavish, as it hunts Vladimir Makarov, the leader of the Russian Ultranationalist party, and United States Army Rangers from the 1st Ranger Battalion who are defending Washington, D.C. from a Russian invasion. Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson of the 141 and Private James Ramirez of the Army Rangers are the major playable characters in the game, with Captain MacTavish being playable later in the campaign. The game includes an extensive multiplayer mode, as well as various new features and modes not seen in its predecessor.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has garnered overwhelmingly good reviews from numerous gaming websites, garnering a 94% aggregate score on Metacritic, with acclaim focused mostly on its robust multiplayer component.
