Uk - Spring & May Hottest on Record? - I don't think so

To cut a long story short.
May 2023 and into June 2023 the weather for me was a sustained settled spell, very warm & sunny, and met the criteria for a heatwave
So far in 2024, still awaiting the first heatwave
The criteria as laid out by the Met Office for a Heatwave in my area is
3 consecutive days where the temp is 25c or higher
3 consecutive nights where the temp is 15c or higher
I also remember other past May's that were very hot with thunder storms
So far in 2024, i've only had three days so far, that were considered "warm"
Max temp: 22c
They base their argument over the monthly mean, by suggesting cloud cover at night, kept temperatures higher at night
