Mark - Chapter 14 Summary:

Mark chapter 14 includes several significant events leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion, such as the anointing at Bethany, the Last Supper, Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane, his arrest, and Peter’s denial. One key lesson from this chapter is about the importance of devotion and worship. The woman who anoints Jesus with expensive perfume at Bethany demonstrates deep devotion and reverence for him, which Jesus commends. Another lesson is about the significance of the Lord’s Supper. During the Last Supper, Jesus institutes the practice of communion, symbolizing his body and blood given for the forgiveness of sins.
