WHy Did Satan Fall?

Why did Lucifer (Satan) Fall? He was created in perfection, beautiful and glorious by God. What happened? Lucifer like us, was a freewill being, like all the angels they could choose obedience or rebellion.

According to Ezekiel 28, Lucifer or Satan was also impressed with his beauty. He was very Proud of his splendor, he choose to rebel against his Creator. He really must have been quite impressive because according to Revelation, 1/3 of the angels agreed with him, they also rebelled against God's authority. (Revelation 12:4).

Satan means adversary, when he rebelled he became God's adversary, and the 1/3 of the angels became demons who like Satan are in active rebellion and warfare as we speak.

Ezekiel 28:17
(17) Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you.

If Satan could convince 1/3 of the angels to fall, he knows how convince humans as well. When Adam and Eve sinned and rejected God's command, they turned over their authority to Satan. The Bible calls Satan the "god" of this age or world.

2 Corinthians 4:4
(4) In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

June is Pride month, they name fits because its an act of rebellion against God's order. The power of his message has even infected the church. The United Methodist Church has literally rejected the Bible and its teaching (Romans 1:26-27)

Satan know how to hunt for souls, he is a master. If 1/3 of the angels fell to his arguments, what chance do we have? Well we have the Word of God, The Bible, that is our weapon. Satan know the Bible exposes his reality and his goal is to silence and degrade it.
