On November 11, 2023, a significant amount of law enforcement personnel responded to an incident at the La Crosse Regional Airport in Wisconsin. Allegedly, an Idaho man breached the airport gate, proceeded to drive down the runway, and gained unauthorized access to an aircraft occupied by crew members. Upon police arrival, the man refused to cooperate with commands and made several alarming threats. As he remained in the cockpit and powered the aircraft's systems, it was uncertain if the male had the necessary skills to take flight.
